Ms. Gemma Pott – Dynamic Dance Instructor & Visionary Choreographer
Ms. Gemma is a talented and versatile dance instructor with over 15 years of experience across multiple dance styles, including jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet, lyrical, and contemporary. Her dedication to the performing arts is demonstrated not only in her disciplined approach but also in her commitment to creating an engaging and supportive environment for her students.
Ms. Gemma's teaching journey includes her time at Tutu School Sunnyvale, where she excelled as a ballet instructor, working with young children aged 18 months to 8 years. Known for her fun and interactive lessons, she helped many students develop a love for dance while maintaining a high trial sign-up rate, thanks to her structured and thoughtfully planned classes. At CLAP Arts, she showcased her versatility by teaching creative movement, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop to children aged 2-12. She went beyond the classroom, independently selecting themes, costumes, and music for performances, ensuring that each class had a memorable and cohesive experience.
Her deep training comes from her years at East West Music & Dance, where she was both a Performing Company Member and a Competition Team Member for 7 years. During this time, she specialized in contemporary, jazz, and tap styles, earning multiple scholarships and accolades, particularly for her tap solos and small group performances.
Ms. Gemma is also a dedicated swim coach, blending her love for teaching and her athletic abilities. Her leadership, strong organizational skills, and passion for the arts make her a valuable addition to any dance or performance program.
