Contemporary Classes
From 8-9 years old
Contemporary dance is a genre of dance performance that developed during the mid-twentieth century and has since grown to become one of the dominant styles for formally trained dancers throughout the world, with particularly strong popularity in the U.S. and Europe.
Contemporary dance is a style of interpretive dance that embraces innovation, blending techniques from various genres, including classical ballet, jazz, modern dance, and lyrical dance.
At FDS Contemporary Classes are offered in four levels; class placement is determined by age, skill level, and students often repeat levels until they have achieved mastery.
* Classes are subject to change or be canceled based on studio enrollment and teacher requirements. Enrolled participants of changed or canceled classes will be provided with alternative class options.
