Late Fees

We have a very fair policy regarding our payment for tuition and subsequent assessment of late fees.

Payments are due before the 10th of each month.

Any account with an unpaid balance after the 10th of the month will incur an additional late charge of $25.00.

Payments may be made at our Office or sent in by mail. If you are making a late payment please be sure to include your payment and the additional $25 late fee, or you will be billed.

The quality of our facility and faculty depends upon a system of mutual respect and cooperation. We understand that anyone may need to make a late payment from time to time, but please be respectful of our late fee policy, and when applicable graciously include your late fee in your next payment.

Thank you for your cooperation.

If you make your payments by mail, be certain to allow adequate time for mail delivery.

Returned check fee is $25.00

Any student with an overdue balance of more than 45 days will not be allowed into class until payment is received in full.

If you decide to switch into a different class, add or delete a class, or have any questions concerning the monthly charge please inform someone in the office, and they would be happy to answer any questions.

Rehearsal Policy

It is the parent’s responsibility to be aware of all rehearsals your dancer needs to be at. The studio sends out multiple emails regarding scheduling for rehearsals. If you miss 2 or more rehearsals you risk being taken out of the performance. This decision will be according to the Artistic Director/ Teacher discretion. If you know you will be absent for one or more rehearsals please coordinate with the office as soon as possible. The first concert will take place at the beginning of December, and our Annual Concert will take place mid-June. You student will be expected to be present at all rehearsals their classes are called for.

Concert Information

Fantasy Dance Studio presents two concerts each year.

Our December Concert is primarily for FDT Members. Other classes will also be performing based on Artistic Director/Teacher selection. This concert is much smaller, and therefore will have less dances selected.

Our Annual Concert(s) in June is(are) our largest concert(s), and all classes will be expected to perform.

Please be aware that rehearsals for these concerts usually take place as far as TWO WEEKS prior to each concert if your class is selected. The dates for the Performances this year are TBA.

The entire faculty and staff wish you a fantastic year of dance!

Please note the following guidelines regarding all classes:

We have yet another exciting school year planned for you. This page is filled with information that will cover the entire school year session. Classroom Etiquette

Students must be on time for each class- no one will be admitted to class if they are more than 15 minutes late. We suggest you arrive 15 minutes early to your class to have time to change, stretch and prepare for class. Late students may be asked to observe class.

All students are encouraged not to leave the room once class has begun. Please allow for appropriate restroom use prior to class.  Very young children will be treated sensitively as the need arises. Preschool children may need a parent’s attention from time to time for various reasons including bathroom or behavior issues. Please do not leave the waiting room when very young children are in class without informing the office or having another parent responsible during your absence. We make every effort to have all children feel safe and cared for in a loving and inspiring learning environment.

School age children and teens: please practice respect.  Students are not to be socializing in a disruptive manner during the class with other students.  Please come early or stay late to enjoy friends in the waiting area.  Please honor your teacher and fellow students by giving full attention and co-operation.  You will be advised if we feel any student is not well adjusted to the classroom environment for any reason over time.

During class if a student complains of being ill, or sustains an injury and cannot participate, the instructor will send them to the office where the parents will be notified if not on the premises.

Only students with a pre-existing sickness/injury are allowed to observe class.  The parents must notify the office if a student is to observe class.

Out of town guests may request to visit at any time throughout the year.  No one else is allowed to sit and watch during regular class time.

Dance class is education and fun, however, an important part of class work is developing an attitude of discipline and respect for teachers and fellow students. We trust that following our classroom etiquette will provide an environment whereby classes at Fantasy Dance Studio will be a pleasure for all concerned.

You can set up automatic payments through our office to have your card charged on the 1st of each month. This will help to ensure there are not late fees added to your account.

After the 10th of each month if no payment has been made by any other method, YOUR CREDIT CARD IS SUBJECT TO BE CHARGED THE TUITION IN FULL, AND ALSO INCLUDING AN ADDITIONAL $25 LATE FEE. There will be no exceptions to this rule, and a Credit Card is now mandatory on ALL accounts. There will be no refunds or make-ups for missed classes. Make-Ups

THERE ARE NO MAKE-UPS offered unless scheduled with a member of our Office Staff. If your student becomes ill, and is forced to miss a class then it is your responsibility to coordinate a designated make-up class with the Office within ONE MONTH of each missed class. Make-up classes are optional. No credit will be given for missed classes, or if your dancer cannot attend any make-up classes scheduled by the Office. If you are aware ahead of time that you will be missing a class you can schedule a make-up class prior to the absence. Do not arrive at a class without coordinating with our Office.

Dress Code

To dance is to use the whole body. It is therefore necessary for a dance teacher to be able to clearly see the student's legs, arms, neck, hips, waistline, etc. This way proper technique may be taught. We ask that students take care and pride in the way they prepare themselves to attend dance classes. As well as aiding the teachers it will help them to be confident in themselves and their work.
Please remember to label all shoes and clothing with the student's name.
Hair for all classes must be tidy and tied back from the face if possible. Buns, French braids, and ponytails are recommended for dancing.
It would also be appreciated if you would ensure that you carry personal hygiene items with you at all times as well (deodorant, etc.). This list must be followed, and it is suggested that students taking several classes in a row to bring a change of clothing for some classes.
