Meet Our Staff

Alla Harea/Kegulskiy
Owner/Director,Ballet Master,Choreographer

Alla graduated with honors from The State Art University of the Republic of Moldova in 1996, where she received a Master's Degree in Fine Arts (M.F.A) with specialization in choreography and qualification as a Ballet Master and Ballet Teacher. Also, in 1991 Alla received a Bachelor Degree in Children’s Pedagogy and Psychology. Alla has an outstanding passion for dancing which she incorporated into her 35 years of experience as a dancer and a teacher. Her credentials include several years of work with “Joc” State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of Moldava, The Moldova Opera & Music Theatre Company, and the dance companies “Khora Mare”, “Martishor”, “Ciocirlia” and many others. She has also worked for 6 years at the “Ion Creanga” Pedagogical State University as a lecturer for Ballet and Teaching Technique. Since Alla moved to the USA, she has taught Ballet at “Peninsula Gymnastics” in San Mateo, California, before opening up Fantasy Dance Studio. In addition to dancing, Alla also has extensive training in stage management, costuming, technical theatre and graphic design.


Dorit Gousinov
Office Administrator

Dorit has been a part of Fantasy Dance Studio since 2006. She began as a dedicated volunteer and slowly graduated to her current position of Office Manager in both our Mountain View and Los Gatos studios. Born in Latvia, and having lived in Israel for 16 years, Dorit speaks Russian, Hebrew, and English fluently. She is an extremely influential part of the studio’s community and also makes time to attend dance classes herself. Dorit is very passionate about education, children, and dance and strives to share these ideals every day. Dorit is the always smiling face that you see in the office, and she is the glue that holds the family of Fantasy Dance Studio together.

Candy Ramirez
Dance Teacher and Choreographer

Candy Ramirez recently moved to the United States from Spain where she began dancing at a young age, studying many different styles of dance. Ramirez studied dance at Rey Juan Carlos University where she received a Master of Fine Arts in Performing Arts in 2009-2010, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Pedagogy and Classical Dance 2008-2010 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Choreography and Interpretation of Classical Dance 2004-2008. She also studied to gain a Complementary Education in Dance and Body Expression from 1997-2008. Throughout all of her studies she continued to perform with dance companies all throughout Spain, and continued to find love for multiple different dance styles. Ramirez is confident in her ability to mold all young students into well trained dancers, and helps them to find a voice through movement and expression. She is excited to be in California, and looks forward to sharing her gift with all the dancers at Fantasy Dance Studio.

Veronika Khanitsky
Office Team, Dance Teacher

Veronika Lea Khanitsky began her dancing career at the age of 6 at Tude’s Dance Studio. In 2005, she joined Fantasy Dance Studio and her passion for the dancing world grew. From ballet to ballroom, jazz to character, Veronika has acquired knowledge and skills that have filled her passion for dance and her knowledge of the world. In 2014 Veronika started working at the studio as a teacher’s assistant and as a part of our wonderful office team, and has now taken on the role of Costume Manager for the studio. Outside of classes, Veronika enjoys being a counselor at our Fantasy Dance Studio’s annual overnight camp, as well as working and teaching at our day camps. Veronika is currently attending West Valley College where she is currently taking classes to receive an Associate’s degree in Dance Choreography, with hopes to transfer to San Jose State University and receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Veronika has a great passion for working with children of all ages, her students love her passionate and educational classes while still being held to a high standard.

Alexandra Smirnova
Dance Teacher, Choreographer, Gymnastics Instructor

Alexandra started dancing in Minsk at the age of 11. She started in a modern studio called Black Fox, and then transferred to an ensemble called Pop’s Foundation and performed with them for 9 years. While with Pop’s Foundation, Alexandra was able to perform in many concerts, competitions, and festivals, and was able to attend master classes taught by Tony Stone, Michael Level, Patrick Chen, and Daniel Baldi. At the age of 16, Alexandra started working as a teacher assistant and then 2 years later progressed to working as a teacher in 3 different studios. In 2012 she joined the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University, and in 2014 received a Bachelor’s degree in Social and Humanitarian Issues. Alexandra continued her education at the Russian State University of Physical Culture and graduated with a degree in Vocational Training, and while studying she worked as a choreographer in a children’s show theater “Triumph”. Now she is spreading her joy of dance and choreography here with students at Fantasy Dance Studio in the styles of jazz, hip-hop, and dance fitness.

Lizzie Williams
Dance Teacher and Choreographer

Lizzie Williams took her first ballet class at age three and later extended her training to include jazz, contemporary, pointe, tap, and musical theater. Lizzie trained at Academy of Ballet in Utah County through high school and performed several soloist roles as a member of Ballet Utah performing company. She continued her ballet and contemporary training at Brigham Young University where she received her degree in Elementary Education. Lizzie has been teaching ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap for ten years both in Utah and most recently in Washington State. Lizzie directed the performing company at Woodinville Dance Academy and taught ballet and pointe as part of the teaching staff there the last two years. Lizzie is so excited for this new opportunity to work with the students and faculty here at Fantasy Dance Studio!

Irina Lib
Art Teacher

Irina Lib is a practicing artist and illustrator who has studied at the Art School of the National Museum of Art in Almaty, Kazakhstan and under various local artists in San Francisco and at UC Berkeley. She loves working with children and has taught art classes at Fantasy Dance Studio since 2015. She is excited to impart her love of the visual arts to budding artists of all ages. Anna Harea
Dance Instructor and Choreographer

Anna Mirela Harea began dancing at the age of three. She was one of the first students at Fantasy Dance Studio, and remained dedicated ever since. With a diverse repertoire, Anna knows ballet, pointe, character, ballroom, jazz, and hip hop. In June of 2011, she began her training as a teacher assistant, later on becoming an instructor and choreographer for Fantasy Dance Studio. Anna is an amazing dancer with great passion. Her goal is to pass on her passion to her students, as well as improve their technique. She always attempts to make every class fun and motivational. Kids love her strict attitude along with her fun personality. Besides classes, Anna loves being a counselor as well as dance instructor at the studio’s annual Day Camp and Overnight Camp. Anna could not be any more grateful for having the opportunity to be a part of Fantasy Dance Studio!

Sarah Chan
Dance Teacher and Choreographer

Sarah Chan began her dance training in classical ballet, pointe, and classical modern at the age of 3. She studied at Eastern Connecticut Ballet under Gloria Govrin, a former New York City Ballet soloist, and Libby Nye, a former Jose Limon dancer. She performed lead roles in multiple ballets here, including The Nutcracker, Interplay, Balanchine’s Raymonda Variations, and Tarantella. Sarah also participated in ABT and Atlanta Ballet Summer Intensive Programs. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Human Nutrition and a minor in Dance, and she is now also a Registered Dietitian. During her time at OSU, Sarah danced and choreographed for Dance Connection, a student-led organization, and also performed in various Dance department shows. Upon graduation, Sarah joined Columbus Modern Dance Company and had the pleasure of performing with them and teaching their open adult ballet class. Sarah has 3 years of dance teaching experience to students ages 6 to 18+ and is excited to bring her knowledge and passion to Fantasy Dance Studio.

Vinnie Jones Prisbrey
Dance Teacher and Choreographer

Vinnie Jones Prisbrey received her early dance training in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She went on to the University of Utah to get a degree in dance teaching with a focus on ballet and character/folk dance. She has performed and toured all over the world including Spain, Canada, Ukraine, Greece, Mexico and France. She has danced with companies including San Diego Ballet, Ballet Tucson, Menlowe Ballet and LaMov Compania de Danza in Spain. She has performed professionally in contemporary, ballet and folk dancing companies. She has been teaching for 7 years and feels comfortable teaching and choreographing in a variety of dance styles. Vinnie has a passion for choreography and for giving her dancers the ability to reach their highest potential in dance.

Binat Gousinov
Office Team, Teacher Assistant

Binat Gousinov started dancing at age three in Israel and joined Fantasy Dance Studio as soon as she moved to the US when she was six years old. Ever since her first class, she has actively been involved at the studio, and not only as a dancer. Binat is also known to help backstage, around the office, teach classes, and help coordinate social media accounts. She also works birthday parties and enjoys being a counselor at both our annual Day and Overnight dance camps. Binat is extremely passionate about dancing, learning, teaching, and spending time with children. She cannot wait to share her personal experiences and gain more insight from all of the staff and students in the Fantasy Dance family.

Angela Kastrilevich
Gymnastics Instructor

Angela has been working at FDS teaching gymnastics since 2012. She has over 18 years of extensive experience teaching gymnastics; she is a licensed gymnastic instructor. Angela’s love for the sport of gymnastics began in the early 2000’s as a coach of a recreational program in Peninsula Gymnastics. Teaching gymnasts of all ages and abilities helps Angela encourage children to stay active and have fun. She is extremely enthusiastic and an excellent motivator. Angela has two daughters of her own that love the benefits and challenges that Fantasy Dance Studio offers them in dance and gymnastics. As the parent of a competing gymnast and dancer, Angela has the unique perspective of knowing the viewpoint and thoughts of a parent as well. She is great with coaching the little boys and girls at all levels. Her personality allows her to reach the full potential of the kids through a thorough understanding of gymnastics in combination with each child’s natural ability. Angela makes it fun to learn and accomplish new skills; each child embraces the positive attitude and warm smile she brings each day.

Svitlana Golovanova
Gymnastics Instructor

Svitlana is a Certified Trainer with a background in gymnastics and dance. She began dancing and taking gymnastics classes at the age of four. Throughout her life, she has participated in many different competitions in dance and gymnastics. Svitlana began working as a dance and gymnastics instructor at the age of 18 at recreational dance centers in Ukraine. Today, she focuses on sharing her knowledge and passion through teaching. Svitlana's classes are filled with energy and joy. She challenges her students to constantly push their limits to become the strongest and best versions of themselves. Get ready to work hard, sweat your heart out, and leave class feeling like you can conquer the world!
